On Tuesday June 6, 2023, the Executive Secretary of CILSS received in audience HEM Ibrahim A. Azim El Khouli, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Burkina Faso.
This courtesy visit is part of the strengthening of multilateral relations with international institutions based in Burkina Faso.
This courtesy visit contributes to the enhancement of multilateral relations with international institutions located in Burkina Faso. Several areas of collaboration have been identified between the two institutions, particularly through the Egyptian Partnership Agency for Development, focusing on capacity building in agriculture, irrigation, combating desertification, and addressing the impacts of climate change.

H.E. the Ambassador has accepted the Executive Secretary’s invitation to participate in the CILSS Round Table on Sustainable Financing to be held in Ouagadougou on June 15, 2023.
